This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate with the ability and confidence to manage a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with Hart Innovations Ltd.

The University of Manchester and Hart Innovations Ltd are looking to recruit a graduate in biomedical science to undertake this 24-month project which has an overall aim of producing optimised recombinant enzymes for therapeutic blood clotting diagnostic kits.

The position will  provide you with a unique opportunity to work in both an academic and biotechnology environment and play a key role in enzyme production from concept optimisation to final product and develop management skills to turn the enzyme into a commercial product,

You must be in line to, or have received a first-class degree (or equivalent) ideally in biomedical science with at least several months’ practical experience in molecular biology, recombinant protein expression and purification.

This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.  Based at Hart Innovations Ltd, Hartlepool you will work directly with supervisors from both the University and Hart Innovations Ltd and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations.
